Wishbone Ash was formed in 1966 under the name Empty Vessels. It became Wishbone Ash in 1970 with Steve Upton (drums), Martin Turner (bass and vocals), Ted Turner (guitar) and Andy Powell (guitar). This line up lasted until 1973, following the release of Wishbone Four, when Ted Turner left the band and was replaced by Laurie Wisefield.
Wishbone Ash has continued to perform, with various personnel changes, over the years. The band is still performing but, IMHO, its best albums were released in the 1970’s, particularly between 1970-1974.
